Inositol
A$2.90
Description
Myo-Inositol (free of phosphate) was once considered a member of the vitamin B group and was called Vitamin B8 until it was clear that it was not an essential nutrient since it could be synthesized by the body from glucose, primarily in the kidneys. A small portion of myo-inositol is converted in peripheral tissues to d-chiro inositol which may have beneficial effects on insulin resistance and hence glucose metabolism. It has also been shown to reduce oxidative stress [1].
